Marquee Lighting
If you are going to hire a marquee, then it's important to think about how you are going to light it. Oue Deluxe Marquees are strong enough structures that you can hang virtually any form of lighting from their frames, but we will need to install the lighting as it needs to be installed by certified technicians.
Marquee lighting falls essentially into two categories, practical (lights you will need to adequately illuminate your space) and decorative (small lights which give effects such as starry skies).
Practical Lighting:
| Hanging Lights Installing hanging lights is simply a matter of dangling lights one by one down the length of the frame. The best option for this type of lighting is ‘China Ball’ lights, light bulbs surrounded by paper spheres. This gives the great appearance of glowing orbs along the ceiling, as well as providing a beautiful diffused light throughout the centre of the room. This is a great option for illuminating the centre of the room, however these aren’t really suitable for the edges of the marquee. |

| Up - Lights These lights, set on the floor along each edge, shine light upwards on the walls. Different gels can be used so that the light from these can be different colours. These lights are suitable for lighting the perimeter of your area, so when used in combination with china ball lights in the centre frame can effectively light your whole area. |

Decorative Lighting:
| Fairy Lights The most common form of decorative lighting for marquees is fairy lights. These are strips of small LED lights which are laid above the roof linings, dangling between frames. These shine through the linings, giving beautiful soft glows. They can be hung anywhere in the marquee behind linings (such as along the walls), but for practical purposes the ceiling is the best place for them. |

Mini (‘Pin’) Spotlights Small spotlights can be hung in lengths along the centre frame of a marquee, or along the sides where there are no puffy marquee linings. These spotlights give a very focused, direct light, so can be used to highlight individual features such as centrepieces, flower decorations, or wedding cakes. |

Star Cloth Star cloth is a black fabric with small lights woven into it at various points. These lights can be fibre optic, and controlled in such a way they give a twinkling star effect, or constantly on, for elegant feature lighting. |
